Somehow that just about sums up the general view of Piers Corbyn, weather seems to be a personal thing, when someone comes to show people a new idea they just scoff. I know its not the best thing to say its going to snow in December or going to be hot in the summer, but Piers has more to him than that, he has found a way to say man has not made the world warmer, what you seem to be looking at is the same as the church did several hundreds of years ago. You seem to think the Earth is the centre of your universe in the same way that man is responsible for the Earths warming, when someone can show that this is not true the herd instinct come into play, you follow each other just in case you look to be doing something wrong. I follow Piers as I have no heard instinct, I will pass on this item of news not that Piers has failed but because it is beyond most if not all of this group to understand what it is he can and cannot do.

All I am saying is that his predictions are common sense and pretty much anyone with a double digit IQ could make the same. Here, I'll make a prediction right now "A hurricane will hit the US sometime between June and November 2006" What's the point of your reading so much about him and posting his predictions when he never predicts anything unusual? |

Just a Note here: If someone disagrees with you, that does not give you the right to go on a motive-speculating rant. Keep it civil and avoid the rhetoric, please.

The point is that he is not saying there will be a hurricane between June and November or snow in December, he is giving a date to expect it, and the more he does this it becomes clear he has found a way to correlate the suns energy to the weather on Earth. This study has produced evidence to show man is not behind global warming the sun is! The real problem is why are governments playing politics with peoples fear of man made pollution when its a natural process from the sun? This is why I mentioned the church were once happy stating that the Earth was the centre of the Universe in the same way, it was politics in the same way as now. If Mr Piers Corbyn has established this process I would have thought Nasa would have also found this out with their computers by now!

His predictions aren't very good, however, Gabe, and therefore are useless and don't explain anything.
And I don't know of anyone who claims that weather doesn't happen without the effects of Global Warming. |

I think the term global warming and man made global warming are two seperate issues, your brainwashed into man made global warming as being behind all that goes wrong, in fact its global warming from the sun!

What I said was weather happens, with or without natural or manmade global warming. It's gonna snow in Scotland in December whether there are greenhouse gases or sunstorms or whatever the hell it is you are trying to defend. There is nothing unusual about snow in the winter or hurricanes in the summer and neither needs to be explained by global warming at all. |

Oh yes it does, Piers made a forecast for the UK in August that heavy snow fall would take place at Xmas time, did it, yes it did, he did not say an open forecast for snow in December! He has done weather forecasting for over 20-years using solar energy from the sun, so when we go down the road of saying anyone can say snow in December but how many can not only give a period for it to happen but also say when it is not going to take place! Now the more interesting issue of is it man made or a natural event, if someone can say months in advance that the weather will be so and so due to the suns energy, then it follows that man made stuff is not the issue and cause!
