Some people think it is more "manly" to be anti gay and pro tattoo. Unfortunately being "manly" does not equate to being Holy

I was never at CF as a Christian. This, I feel, is probably a good thing. Even if I'd managed to stay a Christian (doubtful, probably), I don't think it would have been a very good kind of Christian.

Sif you're in a position to be accusing anyone of being self-righteous, uncompassionate and sarcastic - I've yet to see you make a post directed to anyone who posts here that wasn't firmly grounded in those three components.

Some betters news: Some of my friends have been able to visit the girl in hospital today, and she'll be going home in a few days. She has responded very well to treatment - and what was belived to be permanent brain damage may have only been brain default! :jump:

How so when not all christian denominations even agree that it is a sin? Here's an example that hits home for you, most christian denominations believe that drinking alchohol is a sin but for a Catholic there is nothing wrong with it at all. So should Catholics be edited or deleted for saying it is ok to drink alchohol? That is what you are suggesting. I'll go along with it as long as the same standard holds for all. Many christians and christian denominations do not agree that homosexuality (or the sex itself) is sinful but they are muzzled while other christians are allowed to espouse views that many others find sinful.

Either anything that any christian denomination views as sinful is sinful and suppressed or none of it is. You can't just cherry pick to keep certain groups or majority's happy.

As far as gay-negative, just go search Kgreg's posts, it's not hard. Start with the beyond numerous times he has accused HunterRose of being Outlaw (with the intimation that such is to circumvent a ban). See how many times he claims anyone who is christian and homosexual is not really christian (such as Sam Gamgee). Check for uses of the words pervert, deviant, pedophile, gay agenda and so on. If you can't look through just this one posters history and see this very thing then I can't really think what to say.

And this is to say nothing of calls for the execution or exile of homosexuals by folk like armyman. His posts still stand and i'm almost afraid to report them anymore. Everytime I do report things like that it backfires in my face. And it's not like some moderator's are not aware of it. I made it clear in my appeal and in the questions about CF thread armyman made and i'm certain that someone has reported his posts. Yet the thread remains open and he continues saying these things.

Oh, and stray, you're a good person and I still think the world of yeh no matter what (even if you don't like VNV Nation) :P

This'll probably just be one of those things we disagree on. But I feel it is worth noting that the tenor and moderation of CF towards certain topics (such as homosexuality) is far likelier to drive people very far away from CF or christianity. When I deconverted I didn't care much in regards to religion anymore, now i'm leaning much more towards antagonism. And it is a direct result of the things I mention.

How long is one expected to be hated so and with such venom before they desire to lash out at those who persecute and those who silently enable that persecution?
