Just to lighten things up.

I received this email from a buddy and thought you all would enjoy it:

New element found

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical yet known to science. This new element has been tentatively named "Governmentium."

Governmentium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass
of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.

A tiny amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of four years; it does not decay but instead, it undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming
isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypocritical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass." You will know it when you see it. When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element which radiates just as much energy since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

This bothers me.

Using the CF member search tool I counted the number of posters for each faith icon* who had at least 100 posts for the last six months. This is a dynamic number, because as I was searching, members were posting, and a few were added that didn't turn up when I did my initial experiment earlier this evening.

Using Exec's just announced definitions for Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox the numbers are:

PAD: 4971
CAD: 425
OD: 155

Total 'orthodox' members: 5551

On the 'unorthodox' side: 95

Unorthodox includes the following: Non-Trinitarian Messianic; Other-Church; Oneness; Unitarian; Mormon; Jehovah Witness

There were 58 'orthodox' Christians for every one (1) 'unorthodox' member posting during this time period.

*the search returns accurate results for hidden faith icons

Things to keep in mind: this experiment can in no way account for folks who may identify themselves in a manner that is contrary to their current faith icon; I don't know what's covered under 'Other-Church'. Does it include folks who definitely don't self-identify as Christians?

If anyone is curious about the individual breakdowns, let me know.

Draw your own conclusions about the meaning of the numbers.
How did you classify people with a black cross?

How many black crosses did you find?
