Otherwise why do you think hindus have their temples in far-off places, or on sea-shores or on top of mountains, and why a hindu is supposed to visit Haridwar, Garh Mukteshwar or Gaya to propiate his ancestors? A Rajasthani peasant visiting Gaya so that his ancestors' souls would be satisfied (3000 km). It is easy now with rail, but we did not have that all the time.
