I thought about the Greek monastery roof idea -- but that gives the whole thing a specifically Greek orthodox appeal which I think I would rather avoid.

They were each indications of the sorts of thing you might like to do. I stole all images from the net. The Byzantine church and the mosaic I found on the second page of a search of google images for "byzantine church". The mosaic is a reconstruction from the image available from here. But I hoped you'd get some idea of what you could use/substitute.

Here's the unsized reconstruction of the of the mosaic. I don't know if you can get permission to use the original, but if you can, feel free to use this modified version. It needs sharpening, but your publish would know what to do with it, if it is usable.

Default A little sensationalism on the cover might sell a few more copies

I was talking about the green cover at the time but I think the blue cover developed by spin is just as good. I hate having to admit people are better at things than me. That's why I stopped philandering.

I would think that your 5:17 in Seattle would be a very different time across pond in Britain, so it's safer to quote the post number or ID rather than time.

Spin - you are very talented.

How about a picture of Josephus spinning in his grave?

Ideas is what it is all about, and I appreciate your efforts, which show what can be done. My intention is to get a graphic designer to do the cover -- I'm in contact with one about a logo, and we'll see how that goes -- but the more ideas I have access to, the better the end product is likely to be.

All the best,

Roger Pearse
