So don’t go to the Sacraments or Liturgy forums. The discussion in Apologetics and Non-Catholic Religions may be more to your liking.

Back on Christian Forums, Arikay asked everyone what religion they’d be if not their current religion. Guess what answer I gave.

I'm Accipiter. I'm kind of an infidel homebody and really haven't done that much hopping. Minimally. Anyhoo, I slapped a different username on meself over yonder.

Yes, the accepted assumptions. It's a delicate matter to talk around those I'm thinking. But yes, I'll save the juicy and cathartic polemics for over here.......

Ah, I see. “Birth-canal Catholic”, I like that.

No jokes about the Pope. “Idiot, didn’t you know the O’Murphys are Catholic?” — “Yeah, but I didn’t know the Pope was!”

i will say this for catholics: an educated catholic is generally a delight to debate with, far more so than, say, someone "educated" at Bob Jones U. and there is no x'ian sect anywhere with a theological vein as deep and rich as catholicism (tho eastern ortho comes close).

Whoosh, they're gonna have to pass what they're smokin over there. I agree that it is pretty civil. But by the time I'm done not questioning anything they "hold dear" over there, it just doesn't leave alot that I find very rewarding to talk about. Over here we allow questioning, and pointed critique and exploration of ideas---by anyone. Over there, the whole purpose is to be in denial about a fantasy spiritual life, to put it simply, not to examine or find the truth. But to defend what they *want to be true based on rationale that is the antithesis of thinking and truthseeking*.

Praise be the the holy eucharistic epistles of the cyclical transubstantiation.....yawn..... Santa can beat up Superman as evident in the papal diary of Pope Superstitious IV in passage.....whaty-what?! Huh? They are civil, I guess, but wildly delusional---and committed to it. >shrug< Weird. Much ado about nothing. Or something. Anyhoo, I'll check it out sporadically, like a good fallen Catholic, and let us know how their efforts to "pick off the Pagan" are coming!

It *is* trippy over there folks, but some of you might enjoy this, how they discuss our strange species...:

Just got banned. I guess it was a bad idea to post on the "Apologetics" in response to a teenager who was doubting his faith...
