Default Question about God

Presuming there is a God, why did he create the human race?

Most here would say the human race created God in their image rather than the other way around.

Boredom - the cable went out. Besides, he had to send someone to hell. I mean, it was there.

cave dweller,
since you’re addressing mostly non-believers you’re going to get a lot of wiseass and negative responses.

If any theists respond they’ll probably offer some variation of the highly cogent “mysterious ways? argument.

And welcome to our little zoo.

Because he's a narcissist and wanted someone to praise him?

Because he was lonely?

I think in Hebrews the question is dealt with. Something about the Angels being not-in-god's-actual-image or somesuch. I'll look it up quick.

Hebrews 1:14
14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

So, God was bored, and the angels are just our bitches, not suitable company for him. Or something like that.

So is it safe to assume most readers here will hold that Mother Nature created us? We observe that she does not generally create animals that use up hundreds of times the energy they replace merely to subsist. That would be inefficient--and Mother Nature is not inefficient. How could we possibly be a natural result of her processes?

Because He needed spare parts to repair Himself so He created humanity knowing that in ten thousand years or so they'd evolve into the spares he was missing, then He'd go and conquer the universe... Oh wait, that was the Xenogears 'God'. You were asking about this universe... Because without Mankind there could be no farmers and without farmers there could be no harvested grain and without harvested grain there could be no Beer. That's as good an answer as any you're likely to get.

What exactly are you saying here? Is it your claim that life couldn't evolve to be a tertiary consumer on the food chain?

not if you are going to assume that we think of an anthropomorphized concept of natural forces.

it is unheard of for grazing mammals to overgraze an area.

if youre trying this excuse to prove God,then wouldnt this supposedly perfect Creator have done piss poor inefficient job with His creation?

anyway the simple fact that human race is still here and doing pretty good makes me think we have evolved and adapted to our planets environment just fine.
