I agree. The script that began the entire situation was a joke. (a joke with a point I suppose, expressing my opinion of that phrase and the racist attitudes which accompany it) It was similar to placing a whoopee cushion on a chair and asking someone to sit down.(without the attached opinion) Imho after reviewing the log most of the people in the room overreacted to it and attacked me, unwilling to give me the opportunity to explain or apologize for inadvertently offending anyone. My response was to fight back by (temp) banning jeremy from the network which rather than putting an end to it inflamed the situation. Despite my desire to keep the ban in place I removed it hoping people would just drop it.
Instead I sat there for 10 minutes while I was continuously flamed and even being accused of voting for bush.(that was below the belt) I was accused at one point of baiting Jeremy into calling me a dimwit, well at this point everyone was aware of the fact that I was Netadmin and was very clearly baiting me with comments like "<So> I don't mind being banned, but not because some silly bastard feels his penis it too small." I asked Stopper in pm to put an end to it or I would remove the room from the network, she did nothing and the abuse continued. I don't expect anyone to kiss my ass but I will not sit in a room on my network and tolerate excessive continuous abuse nor will I be forced to leave because of it. As I said I don't expect anyone to kiss my ass but on the other hand I won't kiss anyone else's either. I apologized for the script which offended people and have explained repeatedly it was meant as a joke I hope people can accept that and move on

Last night when people were talking about wanting to move elsewhere Matt suggested that you start your own server and was trying to sell space through his personal hosting service...... this is another example of people not listening and jumping to ridiculous conclusions. :rolling:

From reading the logs, and from what you've explained in chat and in here, and from what people have told me (including people who were in the room but uninvolved), it seems like you both over-reacted. (In a particularly childish way I might add).

The whole "Jew-Banker" thing was just silly.
Telling someone to say something which kicks them is childish.
Doing it is silly. Calling someone a dimwit for it is unneccessary.
Dimwit is not harsh enough to warrant a kick let alone a ban.
A Temp-Ban isn't that big a deal either though and doesn't warrant the backlash.
Refusing to undo it was silly.
Getting Temp-Banned isn't particularly deserving of a written public apology.
Being Temp-Banned isn't quite as bad as the insulting that went on afterwards.
For the insulting that went on afterwards deleting the whole room is wrong still.

Honestly, the lot of you need an early night and no TV for a week. :angel::devil3:
