good people there, however there are no checks and balances
for the moderators by the senior's as well as the site owner.

I've witnessed their (mods) morality for several summers now, and
that has only drove a deeper wedge between myself and their
proclaimed religion. Yet, they all have the same book but cannot
agree upon what it tells them? Ironic to the extreme...ehh?

Morality is a trait like honor, integrity, and respect. It must
be demonstrated, not just claimed. And the heavy hands of
their newest minions which remains unchecked tells all.

They defend their own (mods), and then the ones who display
a cross icon second. Point blank. Everyone else it totally
ignored, nor defended with the same respect, dignity, and honor.
THAT is not morality. That is predjudice, which is also demonstrated
by the fact they've austrocized most of the homosexual members,
target the non-believers/other religions for warning opportunities,
and now they attack the Mormons.

Christians feed on their own, sadly. Which goes against everything
their religion teaches.

No, there isn't a lot of 'critical thinking' going on. When a Christian
member makes outright lies such as evolution being a mafia conspiracy
or that a group called the lesbian avengers are harrassing our school
children remain unchecked for outright lies... and I get warned for
simply honoring an old friend...

That is not morality, and I will have nothing to do with it.

So, we've cornered them in the past on their lies, propaganda, stupidity,
and outright insults and what do they do? Whine for a 'Christians
only section' where they can't be challenged on there claims.

I watched in total dismay at first, then pain, then anger when
a group retreated to their fortress of solitude to Bash the Native
Americans. I complained, nothing was done. Why? Because I'm
a heretic in their eyes. The owner refused to move the thread
to apologetics so I could counter the false claims of some. Request
denied. I sent a lengthy rebuttal to several senior members
addressing that fact, as well as the nonsense of the numberous
warnings I got for honoring a friend.

Morality? NO....

Hypocracy, Bigotry, Decete, Ignorance, Lies......

May those who are guilty rot in the hell they created for themselves.
That, or I'd settle for the fleas of a thousand camels infesting their
crotches.

Please provide a link. I am looking to take my rotten attitude out on somebody.

I wouldn't suggest that. Please, show us the same courtesy you would expect from us here on this site. Or is that too hard to ask?

Actually, I would not do that. However, I am always fairly interested when people who purport to be moral insult my ethnic background.

If you look you will see that I have pretty much stopped posting over there altogether. For a while, I confined myself to the health forum, and even there the bias and, well, other things, got to be more than I was willing to put up with and not break the rules, so I rarely post anymore.

However, they are often allowed to continue to be obnoxious, rude, rule breaking idiots, and they are rarely called on it.

Witness the ease with which people like Brimshack are banned, despite years of quality contribution, while numerous others are allowed to insult, belittle, ridicule, and in general act like complete and utter assholes while moderators and admins stand idly by, or, in some cases, join in.

I'll just throw this out since I've spent countless hours on CF.

I went there as a Christian trying to strengthen my faith. I finally stopped after losing most of it. An atheist on CF said that ahteists are not a threat to Christianity, it's Christians. I found that Brim-heave (who got most of my blessings), that guy with the dancing bear avatar, fools parade and their partners in crime strenghtened my faith (I don't know why) and seemed to be much nicer then many Christians. Of course there are some cool Christians on CF.

A few thigs I learned on CF: Good Christians are politically conservative (in the extreme), condemning of everyone who doesn't believe exactly as they do, enamored (sp?) with the concept of hell and God's wrath, etc

I'm new to IIDB and I keep asking myself, "Why am I so comfortable here?" and "Why do I feel no threat to my faith?"

I will still return to CF periodically when I feel I'm becoming a overly conservative Christian .

BTW, I do have a deep respect for Erwin but something is not working over there. Seeing Brim get banned was the last straw. It feels as if you can break the rules as long as you are a Christian or a Bush-lover ("Bush" as in the "president").

IIBB rocks! No wonder Seebs has enjoyed it so much.

Because you don't start threads telling everybody evolution is wrong, we're all sinners and immoral, and that you and you alone have the answers to life the universe and everything?

I post on CF more than I do here. I hate agreement. I come back here when the arguments start going in circles, or I start despairing for the future of humanity.

There are some intelligent Christians on those boards though. But there are so many fundies...

Ah, well. If I've made a few people less scared of atheists, I'll have done my job.

On a side note, I wonder how many have been converted/decvonverted by General Apologetics there? I know my time there has edged me closer and closer...

...to Buddhism. Atheistic Buddhism.
