Hi Yuri, hope all is well.

I have acouple of questions on the OS which i hope you may be able to help me with.

Some, including Burkitt and Jan Wilson have apparently argued that the OS date to the 2nd century.

Do you know the reasons they argued this?

There are many reasons. But the biggest reason is that the Aramaic speakers clearly had a need for the gospels in their own language as early as 2c.

Yes, I believe so. The argument is usually to point out some rather late words and expressions in the Peshitta vs. the Old Syriac.
