Presumably these very early teaching of Pauls to the Corinthians were the 'milk' he talks about in 1 Corinthians 3, because they were not then ready for solid food.

Strobel is not a New Testament scholar and doesn't even pretend to be one. He is a journalist. His so-called research consisted of interviews with scholars committed (at least in most cases) to defending evangelical dogma.

For anyone wanting to be familiar with evangelical apologetics, The Case for Christ is actually useful reading. Nobody can reliably learn how believers think just by reading what skeptics have to say about their thinking. If you're pressed for time, though, you can get some idea of what Strobel is all about by reading my review at http://dougshaver.com/christ/strobel/christ/0index.htm
