I think you are thinking of Mark 13. And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!" 2 And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down." 3 But once again, it doesn't fit. The disciples mention "wonderful buildings" not just the Temple. If Jerusalem fell in 150 AD and was trashed, we'd say, ah, Mark must have known and so, either it's an interpolation or he wrote after the fall. Or if all the building were destroyed and not the Temple, we'd say, the disciples clearly meant every building but the Temple. And so on. What ever happens, you can find parallels to it, in prior texts. |

That would hold up if a) You placed Mark in Rome and not during the war, that time being where it looked as if more than just the Temple would be destroyed. Though some scholars see more parallels where they are not warranted, there is a difference between writing about an event, writing during an event, writing before an event, and writing with no relation to that event. You don't need to be psychic or miraculous to predict something. Sometimes, you need either a) common sense, or b) dumb luck. Often both.

Also look at Matthew 26:59-61: "Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days."
