Everyone kept trying to teach me the standard one loop method to tie shoes and I never got it  , even today I don't get it and I'm almost 40. I use the two loop method and it's so much easier.
Also, I agree the analogy is bad. |

My MOM taught me how to tie my shoes!
She did.
incidentally I find it easier to tie my shoes with my eyes closed. I can't tell how the knot works by looking at it, it's confusing to watch. Much like touch typing. |

I learned how to tie my shoes watching Captain Kangaroo . I suppose this means that I'm a heathen, since I didn't ask my father for help at all.

Tie a child's shoes for him and he'll be shod for a day. Teach him to tie his shoes, and he'll be shod for life. *shamelessly ripping off the "show a man how to fish..." story* I can't believe no one else posted this. |

Here's a thought Shoes = Life Laces = Evil Tying the laces = Eradicating evil through morality So, no laces = Yeh...um...anyway, I still don't understand how letting someone try something that they wanted to try for themselves, then helping them, is close to child abuse. If I let a judoka practise a tai-toshi and they do it wrong, then I help him/her correct it, have I committed child abuse? Suppose a white belt is trying to tie his belt? I go to help, but they insist they can do it. I let him try and, when he fails, I help him tie it. 'Ask and it shall be given', the boy asked and it was given. |

I don't get it. If your father is supposed to tie your shoes, then why did God give Jesus sandals? I don't trust a God who can't tie His own Shoes.

Hey Rev,
Didn't you read the part in the Bible about throwing pearls to swine? Why would you come to a dump like this and expect these atheist smart-asses to actually be able to conjure up a serious answer to an interesting parable? These clowns have the depth and sensitivity of Mad magazine. Save it for Sunday Rev. |
