Hello all,
I'm trying to find a time line of bible evolution. (Pun intended...couldn't help myself.) ![]() I'm looking for a timeline that shows approximate dates of when texts were written, canonization and things like that. In essence, a timeline of the history of the bible. Does such a critter exist? Garnet |

age of reason shows most of the books were written a few centuries after their subject material.

History of the gospels covers the NT. I'm sure that someone will quibble with some of the conclusions.
There is a more orthodox timeline here for the NT, Hebrew Scriptures here. {mods, you can move this to BCH more more responses.) |

It's only for the NT, and I'll make no claims of accuracy but it seems to (more or less) jibe with the majority consensus here [so far as I've perceived it]. [edit -- just checked 'em out: those are some fantastic links, Toto! Thanks!] |
