Default A Cheating God

If you were god and you were deciding how to reveal yourself to the world, would you select a variation of the old three card con?

Now I don’t know about you, but I suspected I was being rooked the minute I walked up to the booth and the bloke is asking me to risk my eternal soul and pick a card. It’s not as if there are only three to pick from either, there are hundreds of the fuckers, and only one is heaven. All the others are brimstone and anal penetration (luckily for some of us).

And another thing. I’m the old fashioned type who likes to actually see the Queen of Spades before he cons me out of my soul, just to know it was really there at least once a split second before he shuffled them. I don’t appreciate him just telling me which is the only right card to pick (and no I can’t look at it) then saying “Yes that‘s the right one. One soul please.? Why not just have one card placed face up?

And it’s a bit suspicious when all the onlookers are urging you to pick that same card just like they did. Aren’t the stooges supposed to pretend they have never met the cheating gypsy twat, not openly admit they are all in on it? Especially when the gypo on the next booth is telling you it’s a completely different card anyway, and his cronies are all agreeing. No thanks. I’m keeping my soul to spend on strong drink and loose women thank you. I mean, you can’t take it with you can you.

If I discuss Pascal in my Phil of Rel exam, can I use your post?

I say this thread is a serious, intellectual discussion of Pascal's Wager and belongs in EoG as a sticky!

Furthermore, I am outraged that...

Ah who cares...

Unhappy

Sigh. It's a terrible shame that so few can see Boro Nut's deep philosophical wisdom, just because it's disguised as a common game of silly buggers...
