After all, if the White Queen could believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast, you should be able to handle just one.
Wha-a-a-a-a-t?? See, i dont know if you are serious... cuz i dont know you. on the one hand, what you say is obviously horse shit. but people say this stuff in earnest all the time.

I believe he is referring to this:

"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things."
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Other than that, I enjoyed the OP. That sounds like a tough situation. I don't think I could do it.
sorry, my catholic dogma is rusty. i never saw the distinction until now. thanks for the correction.

May I recommend "walk away from fundamentalism?"

You might soon have major career and life changes to make, and you need to be aware of the repercussions.

A recent Archishop of York - David ? got into real trouble by calling the virgin birth mythological in the anglican church, so it is possible to believe it is a myth and be a xian, but to be honest you have opened pandora's box by wanting to stick with truth. The truth will set you free but it is very different truth to a religious concept of truth.

If the virgin birth is mythological, maybe the person who was born is mythical as well.

Live long and prosper!

There are many more examples. I'll grant that the image I potsed does have virgin wrongly in the Hebrew translation but the images are still helpful.
this seems to me beside the whole point. the point is that the septuagint misinterpreted the hebrew text. matthew followed suit.
