If God designed your body, then he is responsible for your healing regardless of whether it was miraculous or natural.

You would first have to prove to me God created my body, or that God even exists, and then of course we will open pandora's box.

I guess my intention of the original post was to point out that believers need to realize that not all of us believe, and are offended when they give credit to a deity for out accomplishments.

By this reasoning, if God designed peoples bodies, God is responsible for its defects (genetic defects for example) too.

The price of robbing humanity of its due is paid for in responsibility.

What evidence do you have to support this statement?

This 'chosen one' attitude is grossly patronising and deeply insulting. Also, what sort of God is this fucker these morons profess to adore? Haven't they thought things through a little?

I've been working with wheelchair using students when complete strangers have come over and interrupted us to start telling me how brave the student is. How being born with CP translates as bravery, neither I nor the students could quite grasp. Your story reminded me of this mindset a little, like they stem from the same misguided source.
