That's a fairly fatuous argument. Simply inserting God into an area because we don't know what that area contains is logically nonsensical. I could say that the universe was farted out of the ass of a magic elf and that's why there's so much gas in it, but unless I can show you a magic elf that can fart out universes, then it's a nonsense statement.

Randomly throwing some arbitrary supernatural entity into any current gap in our knowledge is nothing more than intellectual laziness.

It's not random, prophecy has estabilished that Jesus is the Divine mover that created the Universe. John 1:1 says "In the begining was the Word..." That's Jesus and he fullfilled all biblical prophecies, this is well known.

Please keep your statements to the first person. There is no WE or US.

Thanks!

I'm sorry Ishmael, but your post was a laughably transparent "witnessing." Your attempt to link immoral behavior to the leading scientific theories that so threaten the bible is so weak, but is so typical of fundy christians. It is as laughable as it is ignorantly wrong.

Obviously you are "witnessing for jesus" here and are not now nor ever have been an atheist. Certainly you recognized gross failings in certain aspects and branches of Christianity, but, but so did Martin Luther and he was never so ignorant to mistake himself for an atheist. Why don't you get your facts straight regarding what atheism is before saying you are one, but that is not your objective here, is it?

But, maybe I'm wrong. Please tell me, are you so innocently ignorant? Did you really post what you did out of ignorance or because you needed an "atheist strawman" to conveniently burn for our edification?

Do you have any non-biblical verification of any of this?

Jesus created the Universe?! Blimey he was busy. I suppose because he's God and God is him and something about a spirit. Your basis for belief is two old books, the first one of which is pretty horrible the read and the second one isn't much better, though I did enjoy Jesus executing that fig tree because he was pissed off with it, go Jesus!

It must be hard to live in the Bible belt and not be packing a Bible. I don't think I'll ever fully understand it. I live in a society where very few of my associates have any religious affliction, yet we're not killing each other or having lots of sinful sex (oh except my gay friends, but they try to keep it to once a week). We're taught right from wrong as a kid. My nephew is 1 and he does lots of bad stuff (like putting his toast in my mum's VCR) but he's being taught that when he does something bad he feels like poo (well, he cries when he's told not to do something). When you become an adult that stays with you. You see a dead deer in the road and bambi's mum comes back to you and it pangs at the heart strings, but that's because we've been conditioned to be good (thanks mum and dad!) so we don't go about murdering and raping people.

If Jesus is the answer then I don't want to know what the question is. Die fig tree, die!

Wow, Jesus made the universe? Seriously? Oh boy, now I know who to thank!

Thank you Jesus for pain receptors, for tape worms, for AIDS, for Cancer, for Mosquitoes, for lampreys, for ticks, for lime disease, for anthrax, for small pox (thankfully mankind got rid of that creation of yours), for the flu, and for all those wonderful pain and suffering causing critters and natural disasters. Looking at the natural world, it sure does scream "all loving creator". And so does the Bible, with all those smitings and countless souls damned to eternal torment. Wow, I am 'filled' with the love of the god-boy wonder!

The OP is such obvious God-spam as to be a parody of itself.

Just look at the evidence and open your heart and you will see, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He will change you, and you will know that he is God.
