Homer was originally sung, the Greeks loved their sung poetry, it was standard fare. There were rules about how it was written.

Is this hymn, and the other one's of Paul, written in Hexameters?

If there are glitches, might that be because of insertions like 'Lord" and "Jesus"?

I'm a bit rusty, I know the KJV and the RSV don't show the hymns, but the NEB does and other Bibles do.

Ellegard uses hymns as an argument for xianity being older - they are examples of some tradition, some patina.

Has anyone asked do they break the rules?
