I'm saying the word never had that significance in Islam and any etymological origin it had in the distant past relative to Islam is irrelevant. I'm also saying you're flat wrong in your assertions (or in repeating Morey's assertions) that Mohammed adapted a moon god.

I assure you, he is not. Here's a bit of advice...anyone who is routinely cited as a source by Jack Chick is probably not going to be very credible.

"Don't forget his mercy though, he promised never to send another and sealed it with the rainbow."

What sort of a parallel world do you live in? Try telling that to the people of New Orleans,--those who are left alive; or if not that one,-choose your own massive natural disaster. That kind of pseudo-reasoning is quite obscene.
As for the rainbow,-I take it you do not accept Newtons' scientific explanation of raindrops causing refraction of sunlight?-you might want to check it for yourself.

You underestimate the wisdom of God's lawyers. The fine print* in the contract specifies "another" as "a world-wide flood leaving only 8 survivors". Thus, God is free to create or allow smaller floods whenever He doth please.

I'll have to read more on it, but to be honest, I don't think you know much about it.

We are a bit off topic and have been for a while. However, to answer your question, Newton did an excellent job of describing the way the world works now. What you are forgetting is that it had never rained before Noah's flood so the light had no raindrops to be defracted through.

If you think that the Great Flood happened, why don't you think that God is evil for killing everyone except Noah's family?

Because everyone deserved to die. The Bible says, " And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually."
God righteously executed judgement on sin.
