BTW WillowTree,

I'm interested in learning more about Velikovsky's propositions, I'm sure you can help me with this. As for the moment I have serious reservations and do not accept them for reasons that I will not now take time to expound upon.

P.S. And now a personal question, how old are you? (You can send me a PM if you would prefer to keep it more confidential).

I have also made this point and Brian has yet to answer.

The Bible clearly states that the Israelites were going to inherit cities that they did not build - the Promise Land.

Brian:

When was the Hazor of Judges 4:2 destroyed ?

Ah yes. We are constantly reminded that such behavior is all too symptomatic of the Brian approach. And you can be sure that he will continue to restate his expired arguments over and over whilst pretending that they have not been refuted.

I am 40 years old.

I will PM you some things about Velikovsky.

Glad to see you.

Christians like to harp on Moses being a slave of the Ancient Egyptians.

The dipictions of the Hebrews building the pyramids was flat out wrong. The anceint world, in most cultures would have never allowed any enemy to touch holy ground, it would have been considered blasphemous and would have rendered the ground useless.

Why is it the Christians and Jews like to deny the common characters of Yahwey and Baal and Asurah and El, who are obvious to have been stolen from the Caananites.

The building of the pyramids was during the Old Kingdom. Nobody proposes that the Hebrews took part in their construction. I suggest you acquaint yourself with information on the matter.

Nobody denies that all the gods you just mentioned originated in Canaan, all except of course Yaweh, which you would need to establish.

Why don't you test this assertion, or if not back it up?

I have seen some Christians claim this.

...And WILLOWTREE believes that the Great Pyramid was built by YHWH, not by the Egyptians at all. What is your opinion on that?

This isn't a chat room, folks, it is a discussion forum for topics related to Biblical Criticism & History. Please try to stay relevant and keep the personal stuff elsewhere. Perhaps PMs?
