If I write a computer program that I consider "perfect", but deep in the program there is a heinous bug that will cause a major crash if a particular user interaction with the GUI of the program is performed, buggering up the rest of the program's code, is that program "perfect"? Hell no it's not perfect, whether the particular user interaction is ever performed or not. And if the user interaction is ever performed, it's certainly not the user's fault that the program got screwed. |

In any case, humans are obviously not bound by nature in our social interactions. Heck, your religion is a prime example of that. |

Just look at one of your posts not long before this one: How does being gay enable survival? The human anatomy was designed specifically for a man and a woman. Genes can't be passed on through 2 males or 2 females. Gay's don't fit into the model of natural selection, because they would die out without the ability to reproduce. |

![]() What's the bet that in one hundred years time, there will actually be a church of the IPU, started by irony deficient individuals. All we need is a book to wave around.... Edit: Crap! I suppose I'm the heretic, then. I'm not looking forward to what that means. |

Male and female anatomy are perfectly designed to go together. I've known women and men who would disagree with that (i.e. who have problems having "natural" intercourse with the opposite sex). Trust me, Magus, male and female anatomies come in a wide range of variations on the ideal "design" you conceive. Two poorly matched anatomies won't go together well. There's nothing "perfect" about it. Anal and oral orifices are not designed for sex, they are for eating and waste removal. (I don't know about you, but I never eat with my anus, and only occasionally use my mouth to remove waste.) And our butts were not designed to sit on toilets. And hands are not designed to type on keyboards. And feet are not designed to wear shoes. And the nose and ears are not designed to hold up glasses. And our spine was not designed to walk upright. And our bodies were not designed to play football, baseball, or tennis, or to dance ballet. And our minds were not designed to enjoy poetry and modern music. And our speech ability was not designed to sing opera. |

Why would they need to be married? Jesus H. Christ, Magus, have you never heard of the concept of love? (Or even of companionship, sexual pleasure, romance, mutual support, etc). If you think the only reason for marriage is to make babies, I'm sorry for you. Though I must admit, I'm starting to see why you think the world is such a miserable place. Without love or romance or sex for the sheer joy of it, I suppose it might be. And what about those who go to Heaven and aren't married? For them, heaven becomes a hell, because they're permitted to zip around at warp speed making universes, but aren't permitted the love of another person. Well, for everyone heaven would eventually become hell. How is it fair for one person to be without a companion, and another with one? How is it fair to make people who love each other here on earth immediately get a divorce when they enter heaven? And I will ask you again : how is it possible? Does your god alter their minds so that they no longer love or desire each other? Instead of having that problem, everyone is just brothers and sisters in Christ. We become a big family. It's a problem to be married? What a depressing, castrated, stultifying existence you describe. If you want to keep turning people off (your version of) heaven, keep providing such details. |

The Mansons? Maybe that verse is mistranslated; maybe Jesus really said there are many Mansons in heaven. ![]() |
