Default The Holy Book

THE HOLY BOOK
By New 10.
XX
How is it possible that today in the most technologically advanced country in the world,
most people make a distinction between bedtime stories read to children and the fables
read in the Bible, "Perhaps" if the fables found in the books by the Grimm Brothers were
popular today, it would be apparent as to the connection between these two books of Folklore,
myth and fable,(then again perhaps not).Whether one believes in the literalness of the Bible stories or not, all concepts of a God come from the Bible. How much confidence can one have in a person who finds God in this obsolescent artifact called the Bible? No matter how abstract
or irradiate religious concepts may be, they all originate from the same primitive and ignorant
source. You cannot turn an ignorant concept into an intelligent one no matter how hard one tries without a sacrifice. The case I want to make is those who are in anyway influenced by the Bible
are encouraged to sacrifice one's own observation, experience and the reality testing to others. To have doubts of one's thought process makes one easy victims to religious authoritarian control and manipulation.

I disagree. No other book of stories makes the claims that the bible makes and no other book of stories has withstood the test of time under such intense scrutiny.

It's a matter of being able to understand what does not affect only our five common senses. Open your mind to all understanding and you will at least be able to realize their is more to our existance than what is physical.

The fact that we live in the "most technologically advanced country" does not change the fact that most of what is taught in the Bible is grounded on history and essential truths that teach humanity what we are and the direction that we are going.....

I don't agree with the assumption that the concepts contained in the bible are ignorant. Nor does the bible encourage us to "sacrifice one's own observation, experience and the reality testing to others". Other wise we would not get this kind of instruction from our founder

There are many forms of social manipulation and controll and abuse is just as wrong inside the church as without. Spiritual abuse is wrong and should not be torlerated. If you search Amazon there are now plenty of books dedicated to the subject which you may find enlightening especially if you have been or know people who have been subject to manipulative church leaders.
