Love my Mum and My Dad.

Neither of them are religious but they sent me to a Catholic schoolanyway. I kinda like to think it was to see if I would pass the test

My dad is one of my favorite people, and is also an atheist more or less...more of an apatheist, the concept of deity just has no real meaning for him, or affect on his life, one way or the other.

Of course one might say that Buddha really hated his father for lying to him.

I adore my father. He is officially my favorite person to be around. My father and I are almost identical in personality (except I'm the female version of him ).

I'm a fairly strong atheist and he's a fundie Christian. Go figure.

I love my dad so much it hurts.

BTW: it surprises me that such nonsense, biased notes were accepted by Columbia.

No, but he sure deserved it. I see my inability to hate, in this case, as a personal character flaw. When you treat someone like a human being, after they deny you that respect, it's just looking for trouble.

I became a strong atheist a couple of years after having successfully dealt with the few problems I had regarding my late father. I never hated him, but mostly keep very fond memories of his caring, to the extent a merchant navy captain was able to in those days.

Why the past tense?

I don't hate or even slightly dislike my father.
