Maybe it is because I am a white man in the struggle but does anyone share a feeling that White Pride is not nearly accepted as black pride and that there is a blanket of White guilt in society that is not present with any other race?

Duh. White pride is often racist in nature, black pride isn't.

OK, look at it this way. If you're a black man living in the USA for example, then your race has historically been oppressed and discriminated against. So black pride is necessary to rectify the past oppression and discrimination.

But white pride? Gimme a fucking break, dude! White people FOUNDED the USA and have always been its dominant race! Face it, there is more need for black pride than white pride. White pride generally isn't based upon a desire to gain racial equality. Again, why do whites NEED equality when they've always been the dominant race in the USA?! :huh:

You know, claiming arguments like "it ain't fair!!" is not really a coherent argument. I thought people left that rationale behind in childhood.

I never really got the idea of being “proud” of something you just happened to be born with. I’m no more proud of being white than I am being male or right handed or anything else I had no control over.
Some pride is acceptable for your own accomplishments, successes, triumphs or whatever, but that’s it.

Overkill

What the hell do white people have to proud of? Polka? Baby Gap? Golf clothing? Fruity mixed drinks? Awkward people who are only in pro sports because they weigh 300 pounds or have a decent mid-ranged jumper? Politicians?

Anything British people ever cook. Ever.
The only success white culture has had is when its ripping other cultures off. Including black culture. No, scratch that, especially black culture. In fact, it even rips itself off every decade or so. The 80s are so "in" right now, let me get my bangles and bullet belt.
I'd join a white pride movement if I something to be proud of. So far I'm pretty much drawing a blank. About the only lasting good things white people have accomplished were thwarting other people in war. Who were usually white.

I think being white is commonplace to americans but an issue of identity to some Europeans, Australians, NZers etc.
