Is it okay to criticize people for using colloquialisms while ignoring proper punctuation yourself? Take a chill pill.

See, that's what I don't get. You're willing to admit that violence on children doesn't affect you, but when someone is negative toward YOU, you seem to expect such better treatment. I mean, once you admit that, why shouldn't people automatically question your judgement, or empathy, or abilities or sense of responsibility? Like I posted on another thread, for all I know you could be some incredible scientist that makes a medical device one day that saves my life. So your lack of compassion might not necessarily make you worthless.
But I can see that I'm not the only one that has formed a really poor opinion of you, because of the position you are advocating. I mean, what am I supposed to say, "Everybody stop swearing at this poor man!" Am I supposed to jump to your defense quicker than you would jump to the defense of a kid?

I hadn't checked this thread in a long time. Now that I'm here I can see why I dropped it.
Weak argument. But par for the course.

The OP self-identifies as an agnostic, not atheist.

GG jumping to conclusions.

I, as an atheist, do not condone child abuse.

Painless euthanasia, on the other hand... (j/k, for crying out loud)

What difference does it make what my religious beliefs are?!

Heh, it was YOU who saying that not everything in life was logical! I don't understand why you 'care' so much about me 'not caring' for a 'child being beaten'. That 'child' should realise that as I'm not a member of his/her family or even a friend, that I have no loyalty to him/her! Sorry but that's how life works.

Because you seem to think that everyone should care about you and what you think despite you not caring about anyone else or what anyone else thinks. That's an untenable position, and frankly insults our intelligence.

When the thrust of your argument is 'Go ahead, try and make me care' you really have no argument. Great. You don't care. So freaking what?

No, that's just how YOU work. If all life was really like this, the world would be in far worse shape.

Then don't complain about the fact I don't care!
