Hahahaha...ditto to basically everything you said. That's part of the reason I left the church...I don't like pity kindness, and it was obvious that was all I was getting. You can tell the difference yknow? When people are nice to you cause they want to be and nice to you because they're supposed to be.

And I totally agree with you concerning the "pity kindess." One of the easiest things in the world to see right through if you ask me.

IRL, one of the kindest people I've ever encountered is an ex-fundie who actually tells me he believes that God is "totally evil" and has asked to be condemned to Hell if the Lord God is indeed the Fundie God (highly unlikely, so I think he's safe).

Yeah. Take the anabaptist thing to pm where it doesn't publicly shame him and see if there is a better response. It may or may not work.
