A year or so ago (probably longer) I discovered that the official website of the Vatican had an email link. It was apparently possible to sent the (then) new pope a message. I sent the following:

"Fuck you and the Jesus you rode in on."

I got a reply back that my email was filtered out of their system (it would seem they get many such emails, or why else would they need filtering software), so my message never got through to its intended recipient. But surely my intentions count for something, so does my email to the pope meet the challenge of the OP?

I admit that it was a meaningless gesture; but it did have certain theraputic value at the time.

What would be the point of yelling it? Are you afraid that God wouldn't hear the guy if he said it softly?

If the point is that God would punish the peson for blasphemy and therefore none of us people who pretend he doesn't exist because fears of divine punishment would cut into our raping and pillaging time would want to say the words, how would the volume of our blasphemy affect matters? If the dude's all-knowing, then wouldn't muttering it under our breath be the same as shouting it into a loud speaker?

I fail to see the relevance of the volume aspect.

Why would the statement "Fuck God" be a test of the depth of a person's atheism? The statement makes a tacit assumption that God exists, and that the person is angry or dismissive towards them.

A better statement would just be "There is no God". Or "God isn't real". Or something along those lines.

And THAT I am perfectly willing to proclaim.

There is no God.

Well, they can mean to concept of god or meme if you will.
