Good old sleep paralysis. It's responsible for so much, not least alien abduction stories or so the current thinking goes!

Edit: LadyShea beat me to it. Ah well, it's a good link.

Nothing more unusual than mild deja vu every once in a while for me.

Me too, and right on.

I've had some really bizarre things happen to me. I just assume that they're explainable and I just don't have the explanation handy. I LIKE bizarre things happening; they keep life interesting.

I also like to fiddle with tarot cards, but it's a visualization/meditation exercise and not a flaky ooga-booga "divination" thing at all. I like the pretty pictures.

Ooooh! I forgot to mention my "super-dupernatural" ability to turn streetlights on or off. This is not a concious ability, but when I am around, streetlights that are off wink on, or wink off if they are on. No other person I have met has this effect.
My mother's best friend has this same ability. I've seen it in action. Until now, she's the only person I've ever heard of who has that effect on streetlights. It is strange. (But more than likely explainable.)

My mother can stop any battery watch just by wearing it. I have, myself, put a new battery in a watch of hers and worn it for a week with no issues...then given it back to her, only to have it stop within a day. I have no explanation for this...she has simply started wearing mechanical watches instead ::shrug::

I was in the Navy at the time. The film 'The Exorcist' just came out. I took a girl, also in the Navy, who claimed to be a witch, to see it. Although I didn't puke in the pseudo-airline puke bag the theatre passed out, the film did scare me. Up to that time, no film had that effect on me. That night, in my rack aboard ship, I awoke in the middle of the night to see a miniature (perhaps 2 feet tall?)Satan standing at the foot of my rack (bed/bunk).

Well, I nearly ca-ca'd my diapers...

But within a second or two, the vision vanished and my circulation and respiration came back to normal.

Although I was not yet deep into atheism, I chalked it up to the movie and over-imagination. Twas only a dream.

I also have a problem with watches. The longest time I have ever kept a watch running is about 6 months. It was a pocket watch that I kept in my purse and only took out to get the time. My mother-in-law did not believe me when I old her I usually can not wear mechanical watches. I took it out, held it for about a minute and it stopped. I put id down and it started again.

I don't know what causes it, but I know it's nothing supernatural. Probably static electricity or something. I'm always shocking my cat and hubby with static.

BTW, RBAC, What is your definition of supernatural? If something is beyond nature, how could it interact with anything natural?

Sometimes when I'm almost asleep, I've had a few ghost-like dream/hallucinations. For example, there was what appeared t be a ghost in a hallway entrance. How could I be sure it wasn't "from beyond the grave"? The dog (the hallucination's subject) wasn't dead. And it only happened when I was younger. So there.

-----------------
An example of the somewhat unexplained:

I was going to my karate class. It was quite light out. I was en rout to the car, when suddenly, I had a sort of 'vision' - There was a sort of "blast" of incomprehensible, chaotic (violent, I might say) images and sounds, in the duration of a split second. It started as quick and neat as it ended, no fading or anything. One scene directly to the next (being reality) with no pause.

It didn't scare, distrub, or even disorient me or anything, but I've always wondered about this one. It was weird. Oh well.

I played around with an ouija board once in High School. For awhile the guy and I asked questions and got answers, but eventually he closed his eyes and only I asked the questions. It really freaked me out. I know he wasn't moving it, cuz even if his eyes were open, he didn't know what I was asking cuz I was asking in my head, not outloud. That would have been quite a trick on his part. I guess you could still claim that I was moving it unconsciously, but I think not.
Now I regret not asking some better questions. I doubt I'll ever get the chance to do that again.

I'm also a useless Psychic - for example, I was driving along and I suddenly just *knew* that my mom's flight was early and she was waiting at the airport. There was no way I could drive there first and then pick up the kids from day care, so I picked up the kids first and she had to wait. What's the use of *knowing* something if you can't do anything about it anyway??

I have an uncanny ability to always know what time it is (without a watch, that is) I can wake up at night and think its around two AM sure enough it is. Does this count?
