This is a common misconception people assume when they talk about God. The assumption is: He is trying to prove His existence, expose all of His secrets and trying to convince people He is real.

He doesn't. He always hides himself and allows man to discover Him for himself.

If you want a verse; Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

I seem to misconcept quite a lot with the bible I‘m afraid. I thought the whole putting the stars in the sky for signs bit meant they were supposed to be used for signs, and they were put up in the sky. For some inexplicable reason I seem to have been doubly wrong-footed by the words sky and signs being juxtaposed with the assertion that this was their location and purpose. Perhaps you could enlighten my ignorance by misquoting a psalm or something.
