Default Need help fast regarding biblical genocide

I'm having a discussion on another board about the objectivity of morality and good vs. evil and I asked whether God should be held to the same standard we are, and whether it's morally wrong to cause (or even allow) such things as genocide. He misunderstood me to mean something like the Holocaust, but I was referring to the biblical passages in which God commanded his/her/its followers to kill other people. Can anybody help me out with some of the relevant verses? Thanks!
