Over in BCH, there have been discussions about whether the Roman Emperors created xianity deliberately as a propaganda tool to destroy Judaism.

Propaganda would be a very useful tool.

Is the existence of anti semitism and its strength actually evidence that it was a deliberate propaganda ploy by the Romans? The traditional explanation, they killed the son of God - isn't actually strong enough when you look at how gnostic and vague xianity has been.

Could it be the other way around, Titus et al deliberately stoked up feelings and we are now having third hand and very ancient arguments, and in fact Islam with its clear hatred of Judaism is also following the tradition started by the Romans?
