I'm amused at the vituperation my well-meant comments have produced. I regret that I cannot explain to you why your posts make me smile, but they do.
All the best, Roger Pearse |

There was nothing wise or interesting about what you said, despite the fact that you are obviously pleased with yourself. You were just concern trolling. And it's boring. |

But did not the Christian called Marcion claim Jesus was a Phantom and did not Christians believe him since the 2nd century?
Jesus was presented as a myth, even Christians believed. And what about the Christian called Valentinius? He presented Jesus as some kind of mythical figure. Jesus was presented as a myth since the 2nd century by mutiple Christians. Jesus can be considered a myth unless history is erased. See the writing called "Against Heresies" by Irenaeus. |

Boy, it is always fun seeing academics with an axe to grind make passive aggressive comments about each other under the guise of amiable teasing.

What's sad is that all this academic research will never reach the simpleton in the back pew of the mega-church, and the evangelistic pastors will never go out of their way to let their sheeple in on the latest developments in biblical history...
The myth will continue, unchecked, and will cloud the judgment of future generations as children continue to be mindwiped and brainwashed to believe in magic people in the sky... |

The human brain seems to be wired to cogitate on unreality more than reality - maybe God has an answer to that one |
