I still wanna know which god gets rejected for being a false god, and how Albert rejects all the other ones since he can't use that reason for two gods?

you speak Latin? sweet. or do you read an english translation? something that was done a thousand years later? wait, wasn't the bible written in greek and aramaic originally? hm. so that's right, constantine got the greek and aramaic writings, put them together so it 'worked,' and ~POOF~ you have the magic end all be all book divinely inspired by god which speaks of 300 year old events and even back to 'creation,' but is held by such an iron fist of this 'traditional ROMAN catholic' church that it is not allowed to be spoken or translated into any other language for a thousand years. is this the same catholic church whose pope is said to be 'the closest human being to god' and is said to 'commune with god?' the same church that sold 'indulgences' to its parishes? for those of you who don't know, an indulgence was a tithe one could pay to buy time out of purgatory... how utterly insane... but hey, the church had to make money and gain power somehow no? Al, if you really truly hold true to this bible, that is for you alone, however, i would consider the words of Luther before those of any pope. try looking at his 95 theses. and, if truth be told, he wasn't even for completely decapitating the catholic church, as he is portrayed in many catholic views, only reforming it. and what did the church do? exactly the opposite of what they should, this is but one example. instead of turning the other cheek they excommunicated him and tried to have him killed. if you are to find faith in god, it is not through some 'pope,' it would be through scripture, as it were. and before you say it i am by no means a protestant or even a theist, i just know a lame duck when i see one. acknowledging old dusty books as an end all be all when they are not the original work and whose origins and reasons behind it leaves a little more to be desired. you seem like a smart guy with a sharp intellect... but you also seem like somebody who hasn't thought about what exactly it is that you are saying you are. |
