The HJ theory is a logical fallacy.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_Jesus
I have SEEN it, but I do NOT see any QUOTES there matching the things YOU SAY that HJ scholars say.
Well, I can't help you if you don't see and you don't know what people say about HJ.

I can see and I know what people say about HJ.

I tried to help you.
If you have SEEN and you do KNOW, then you must be able to CITE QUOTATIONS. If you WILL NOT do that then you are NOT trying very hard to HELP.

HJ Scholars do NOT present any credible source of antiquity for their claim that HJ was a man who lived in Nazareth when Jesus of Nazareth was the Child of a Ghost.
A statement that is not SUPPORTED by a CREDIBLE SOURCE may be an ERROR but that is NOT SYNONYMOUS with being a LOGICAL FALLACY.

One can Falsely Assume the supposed Peter the apostle was a real 1st century character but it is a Logical Fallacy to assert WITHOUT any reliable sources that a character described as a Ghost Child was really a man.
An assertion that is not SUPPORTED by a RELIABLE SOURCE may be an ERROR but that is NOT SYNONYMOUS with being a LOGICAL FALLACY.

You don't know and don't see what people say about HJ so don't attempt to even argue about the OP.
You have not SHOWN that you UNDERSTAND what a LOGICAL FALLACY is, so until you do, you cannot DEFEND your CLAIM from the OP.

Well, I am dealing with the HJ theory and that is what I have found.

You don't know and don't see what people say about HJ so you are in NO position to make any counter arguments.

HJ Scholars claim there was an historical Jesus of Nazareth.

Do you know what HJ Scholars say ?

HJ Scholars do NOT doubt that there was an HJ of Nazareth.

Do you know that Scholars say that the NT is historically UNRELIABLE?

What do you know?

All I know Jesus of the NT was described as the Child of a Ghost, Pilate was a Governor, Tiberius was Caesar, Caiaphas was High Priest and John was called the Baptist and Gabriel was an Angel.

It is QUITE Logical to assume that in the Jesus stories that Pilate, Tiberius, Caiaphas and John were human beings and RATHER ILLOGICAL to assume that Jesus and Gabriel were human in the very stories.

HJ Scholars do NOT assume Satan was human although he was with Jesus on the pinnacle of the Temple when he asked Jesus to JUMP.

Why do they not regard Satan as human?

Because it is Highly Illogical and senseless.

But Both Jesus and Satan were on the very SAME pinnacle of the Temple in Jerusalem in the story.

Jesus was described as a Child of the Holy Ghost and Satan was described as the Devil.

Matthew 4
Quote:
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down...
Why is Satan assumed to be the Devil or myth and Jesus assumed to be historical when they were BOTH on the pinnacle of the Temple of Jerusalem in the story?

Because the HJ theory is a logical fallacy?

I know what a LOGICAL FALLACY is and I know that it is NOT SYNONYMOUS with an ERROR, and I do not need to KNOW anything about HJ to KNOW that much. You don't know and don't see what a LOGICAL FALLACY is and so you are in NO POSITION to argue what is or is not a LOGICAL FALLACY.

Your saying THAT only SHOWS that you don't UNDERSTAND LOGIC.

You STILL have not shown that you UNDERSTAND what a LOGICAL FALLACY is.

How ILLOGICAL can you be!! You have put your foot in your mouth.

You first MUST know what people say about HJ if you want to argue that the HJ theory is NOT a logical fallacy.

It is IMPERATIVE.

You cannot be IGNORANT of a issue and still want to make an input.

You have already admitted that Logical Fallacies do produce False conclusions

It is IMPERATIVE that you know what people conclude about HJ.

It is IMPERATIVE that you know what people WROTE about Jesus in the NT.

HJ Scholars have concluded that there was an HJ even after concluding that the NT is historically UNRELIABLE.

My theory is that the False Conclusion that there was an HJ was PRODUCED from Logical Fallicies.

In the NT, Satan called the Devil was with Jesus called the Child of a Holy Ghost on the pinnacle of the Jewish Temple in the Holy City. See Matthew 3.5-7.

It is QUITE ILLOGICAL to accept Satan as a Myth and conclude Jesus was an ordinary man WITHOUT any credible corroborative sources.

I don't have to know what the capital of Brazil is in order to know it's not Copenhagen. But, since that's an example that uses analogous reasoning, it will fall on deaf ears.

How ILLOGICAL can you be !!!!

You have put forward a PERFECT example of a Logical Fallcy.

You have UTTERLY failed to understand that there is nothing to prevent any country from having the very same name of their cities.

You MUST have KNOWN in ADVANCE the capital of Brazil was NOT Copenhagen.

If you do NOT know at this very moment the capital of Brazil then you have acted ILLOGICALLY.

Examine your OWN LOGICAL FALLACIES.

"Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark therefore Copenhagen cannot be the capital of anywhere else so I don't even have to know the capital of Brazil."

Or, "I don't know the capital of Brazil but it cannot be Copenhagen.

You appear to be immersed in False Dichotomies.

Now let us deal with the OP instead of your Logical Fallacies about the names of Cities.

Your post has no logical significance with respect to stories about a Child of a Ghost and the Devil on the Pinnacle of the Temple in the Holy City.

Examine the Temptation story of Jesus described as a Holy Ghost and the Devil also called Satan.

Matthew 4:1-
Quote:
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil................Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down....
I ask you frankly

1. Is it logical to assume that BOTH the Devil and Jesus were human beings in the Temptation story of gMatthew?

2. Is it logical to assume that ONLY the Devil or ONLY Jesus was human in the Temptation story of gMatthew?

3.Is it logical to assume that BOTH the Devil and Jesus were non-human characters in the Temptation story of gMatthew?

Please answer the questions to show you really understand "Logics".

I will give you a clue or two.

The Devil was called Satan and Jesus was a Holy Ghost Child in gMatthew.

YOU do NOT understand what I am doing. I am ARGUING that you have NOT made out your case. To do THAT, I NEED to SEE what you are SAYING. I can, and that's enough.

LOGICAL FALLACIES sometimes produce FALSE CONCLUSIONS and sometimes produce TRUE CONCLUSIONS, and sometimes FALSE CONCLUSIONS are produced with NO LOGICAL FALLACIES.
