I don't think that's the message so it can't be too plainly. How about the scripture you are using to base this off of?

As far as the second goes, let's do it this way.

What does Paul think about flesh?
He thinks it's temporal but he doesn't consider that the limit of God's creation nor the source of sin. 2 Cor 4:18, Romans 6:7

Justification by works of the Law was a beneficial mistake.

Is this part of you trying to demonstrate your previous assertion that it's a Roman story or about ransoming a life to a Jewish god?

What is? The law a beneficial mistake or this is part of the argument that you're trying to make?

The fact that you felt you needed to add a modifier to the word mistake says it all...

The Gnostics authors of "The Acts of Paul" appear to satire Paul and his philosophy. They appear to have nothing nice at all to say about the new testament character called Paul. What does Paul think about [the flesh of] Thecla according to the Greek Gnostics? Why did the Gnostic authors introduce the preaching and baptising Thecla? Our dear friend Tertullian appears to clearly state that the Gnostic author of the "Acts of Paul" was inspired to write the text of the "Acts of Paul" ... "out of love of Paul". This is pure soap opera - an ancient form of "The Days of Our Lives" -- utterly unbelievable and thus part of the mystery of who were the gnostics.
