I had a PM last week telling me that a post of mine had been edited, but when I clicked to look at what had happened, the whole thread was gone.

Fortunately, this particular PM said I had not violated any rules, but my post was edited because I quoted a post that was either edited or deleted (I forget which).

I must confess that I secretly enjoy trying to find the content of deleted posts in threads that have been "cleaned up." It's like a fun detective game.
