So this begs the question, just what DO they teach in seminary?

It's interesting where each finds their initial quandry. Mine was with the miraculous fables in the OT. Good luck in your journey, since you state your in "flux" in your profile. Yep, their damn hard to square. That's why many of the mainstream Protestant sects don't even try any more.

A minor note since your new here: Chili has some fairly ecentric views, that diverge quite a bit from the typical Christian of any sect I recognize. Interesting, but...hard for me to follow.

Kosh, Why they teach conclusions of course. It's much easier that way.

Don't worry, Johnny, you aren't the only one. Every time I read his posts, I have no idea what he means.

There was a good debate within the BC&H formal debates some months ago which addressed Gospel harmony issues very well. Unfortunately I now realize, I have no clue what happens to old "formal debates" around here. Someone care to fill in the link or say how to find the debate?

There is a Formal Debate Forum. You might be thinking about this:

Your post was just a representation of your re-born thoughts about typing on the keyboard.

It wasn't a literal post...
