Last Saturday's Australian newspaper contained an article by John Cornwell the intro to which claimed he would examine the both sides of the argument concerning the death and resurrection of Christ.
He didn't of course. He just looked at few easy targets then concluded with a few lame quotes from Graham Greene. The Australian is a Murdoch newspaper so presumably this article was syndicated with various News Corp papers around the world. What Cornwell didn't do was use Occams razor and try the simpest explanation - namely that Christ's body was just temporarily stored in the cave, then removed for a proper burial after the Sabbath. Anyway, before I send off a letter to the editor I was looking for more info on Cornwell. Google just turned up a list of his books. He's obviously anti-papist. But apart from that is he just the run-of-the-mill Catholic writer? regards, RainbowSerpent |
