Depending on what is the issue with your friend...

Disappointment with God by Philip Yancey - for those who are going through very tough times with tough questions

The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey - for those who have serious problems with fundamentalist ethics

or

The Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg - for those who can't swallow fundamentalism at all any more...

I have a good friend who is Christian and who is feeling that they're losing their faith in God. In the Christian version of God anyway.

Can anyone suggest some books/texts that might help them re-find their way?

Thanks!
