Default Joe Meert, that leading creationist...

Congratulations, Joe; according to the OP of this thread, you're a famous creationist. Probably one of the poster's great heroes. Who would have guessed?

I see Glenn Morton on that list, too. Care to take bets on how long it'll be before the list is cited to school boards as "geologists dissenting from Darwin"? BTW, the next post does a partial analysis of the list. But I love seeing Meert on it!

Add another error not yet pointed out in the thread: "Dr John Woodmorappe". Woody has a masters degree. And one does not put the title "Dr." in front of a nom de plume.

No. Putting a "Dr." in front of the pen name in that case would be "Dr. Dr. Seuss". The "Dr." in "Dr. Seuss" is part of the nom de plume.

:-)

Tha amazing* thing is that the creationist didn't seem at all fazed by being shown that half his list were either not doctors or not creationists and the other half weren't even research scientists. These people are so sure that what they read on creationist websites is The Truth that they don't even bother to check. This particular creationist is a student at a university and reckons he's got no access to anywhere where he could check on the published work by these people. First I've ever heard of the University of St Andrews not having a library.

*OK, it isn't amazing, it's exactly what you'd expect. Doesn't make it any less frustrating, though.

The good doctor, back in his advertising days, did have the most appropriate idea for the arrival of creationists --"Quck Henry, the Flit!"

Glenn Morton is a pretty good guy, if he's the same Glenn I'm thinking about.
