And you are quite welcome. But language is it's own master and always must be seen first in the context of it's user, not necessarily what the folks on the hill want to redefine.

Anyway, I did take this to the Greek scholars for the most part and they didn't buy it, if you really must know. So. Maybe later.

If you mean the Second World War, it started much earlier than 1940, and finished much earlier than 1947. If you mean the Great one instead, that would be the Great War, as in Great, and that happened even earlier still.
