This would allow members to read articles that are at least five years old from various science journals (e.g. Science). Not the most up-to-date stuff, but alas, we can't afford the most up-to-date stuff.
This would partially explain the intellectual bankruptcy of the ID movement.

ISCID is not a place where one can expect moderators to admonish ID advocacy. ISCID is not a place where the discussion is qualitatively any different from, say, at ARN.

That having been said, kudos to Micah for having lofty aspirations. But I find it disingenuous, and laughably so, for him and the other ISCID administrators to blame the posters everytime they see a problem with the declining "quality" of discussions. As if it needs pointing out, heavy-handed moderation and forum rules do not scientific discussions make. The problem is rather that there isn't any coherent scientific topic to talk about, nor is there a reliable stream of forum-specific scientific data pouring into these discussions. Absent that, we expect to see what we already see: constant rehashing of Dembski's filter, or Behe's IC, or whipping the flagellum. Short of fixing that, they can keep complaining ad infinitum about discussions being subpar.

By the way - Didn't you guys know that ISCID is just another haven for Darwinism propaganda?

Amazing...

" I mention this because it shows how insecure the evolutionary (Darwiniasn) establishment is at the present time. It is reminiscent of what happened in the 1940s when the "Evolutionary Synthesis" was launched by Ernst Mayr, George Gaylord Simpson, Theodosius Dobzhansky and other devout Darwinians. Guess who were not invited to their Symposia announcing the much heralded "Evolutionary Synthesis". Here is a partial list: Robert Broom, Leo Berg, Richard B.Goldschmidt, Pierre Grasse and Otto Schindewolf, all of whom were alive and kicking at the time and, to a man, antiDarwinian to the core. I have called for the resignation of the "brainstorm" moderators, which of course is an exercise in futility. ISCID, an organization presumably dedicated to Intelligent Design, should be ashamed of its forum."

The paranoia of this guy is legendary.
