You know, I completely forgot to mention. About 30 seconds into writing that parody song up there, "I've Got Rhythym" came on on my shuffle. I was like "hmmm, if I'm going to parody the tune I should listen to it" and bang, it came on. OMFG GOD SUPPORTS MY SONGWRITING

Cheek to Cheek
(Sung to the tune of ... well, Cheek to Cheek, by Irving Berlin) Saddam, I've caught Saddam, And my heart beats so I think I'm back on blow; And I seem to find the second term I seek With Saddam in chains and bitchslapped cheek to cheek. Saddam, I've caught Saddam, And the news that drags me under thro' the week Seems to improve like a polling's upward streak With Saddam in chains and bitchslapped cheek to cheek. Oh! I love to bomb a city, And to blast its highest peak, But it doesn't thrill me half as much As S. slapped cheek to cheek. Oh! I love to go out drinking Then driving like a freak, But I don't enjoy it half as much As S. slapped cheek to cheek. Bomb with me I want my Osama too; The bombs about you Carried me thro' to Saddam I'm caught Saddam, And my heart beats so I think I'm back on blow; And I seem to find the second term I seek With Saddam in chains and bitchslapped cheek to cheek. |

Well for some involved such as Bush Sr , Rumsfeld, Cheney, etc, it will simply be a reunion--one that may not be too welcome to those who supported Saddam all those years when he was doing his killing for the implicit benefit of the US. Perhaps, they could ask, so where are those weapons of mass destruction anyway? We know you have them because we gave them to you in the first place. Fortunately most Americans have a terrible memory when it comes to such things, for such inconvienent fact seem to chip away at the happy facade that they constantly strive to create and recreate on a daily basis.
If it does happen you can bet it won't look like this: http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB82/press.htm |
