An abcessed tooth (3 Stitches) and 2 stitches on the ankle while playing soccer , these are my major operations . I am 61 and consider myself very lucky . You folks who were not so fortunate have all my sympathy .

Thank you for all the responses. By my reckoning, loose_cannon is ahead in sheer numbers, with Cynical Chick beating us all in severity with that brain tumor, and johno's cancer running her a close second.

2004 - Open heart surgery to repair a leaking heart valve. Done with Da Vinci robot by Intuitive Surgical. Much better than prayer.
