My neice. One time I was babysitting her at about age 7 and let her watch the Wizard of Oz for the first time. A few yrs later, I told her the plot to Romeo and Juliet. The things that were forbidden to her! It boggles the mind.
Thanks so much for your encouragement! I'm 27 and I'm just kicking myself for keeping my eyes closed for so long after reaching adulthood. It's all a little overwhelming, but II is really helping me out.

I had read somewhere a similiar theory, only the flooding was from a supposed natural dam barrier at the now Strait of Gibraltar entrance to the Mediterranean Sea (a low land area before the breach). I don't remember how compelling the evidence was for it, but if it had occurred, certainly it would leave a mark on any survivors' decendants as a "world-wide" flood.

this is past.

So apparently you don't even have scripture to defend your claim above.

You do realize that most people don't consider the Quran a source for "facts"? The Ark would have been pretty big for any flood tale. I assume people have been up to Mt. Judi? Has any evidence been profered to the world? I have no idea what time frame one could assume from the Quran, but wood generally doesn't last that long unprotected. So it does seem unlikely that anything could survive from 3-5000 years ago. Wouldn't you think so?

I just thought about this. During the time of Noah, he wouldn't have had a concept of the whole world. Just the part where he lived (and surrounding areas). No if just the known part of the world was flooded, then that woud be considered the whole world.

The Qur'an doesn't give measurements, or a date for the "regional flood". However, according to the Qur'an the Ark rested upon Mt. Judi. It is possible as Fallingblood has stated earlier....that the Ark should have decomposed or disintegrated by now. Though, the scientific world is no stranger in witnessing amazing preservation techniques in nature....i.e we have the Mammoths DNA and we also have very good preservations of humans..that should have decomposed into nothingness... A fossilized Noah's Ark is certainly possible.
