Buying weed is against the law. I can't argue with that. Except it's not against the law everywhere in the world. I'm sure that there are several Americans who have espoused the opinion that they like to smoke the wacky tabacky, but what about the others in these fora who are from parts of the world where marijuana is legal? Is it still immoral for those people to indulge in a legal substance? Now, Howard Stern. I do not care for Howard Stern. But, if he is immoral, what is Pat Robertson? Or Jerry Falwell? Undoubtedly, you will bring the case that he exploits women and minorities on his show. If, God truly owns cattle on a thousand hills, and would not tell me even if he had need of something because he that much greater I am in wealth and prestige, then what do you call Paul's call for money that he gives in nearly every epistle? I call it exploitation, too. Just because it's exploitation of a different kind doesn't mean it's not exploitation at all. Now, children having sex. Are you talking about minors engaging in sexual acts with each other, or an adult forcing a minor to perform sexual acts? There is a huge difference between the two. Please clarify so that I may weigh in with more Christian morals. |

Now, I know why the Promised Land flowed with milk. I'm still confused about the honey, though. Can anyone help with that?

Sorry, nothing really to add, it's just that popped into my mind when I was reading this post. All the sarcasm and jovilism out of the way, I do think it is somewhat a valid question. In the Christian virew of things why do men have nipples? From an evolutionary POV it makes sense, but what reason would God have for it? |

Every single time I open this forum, this is at the top. Every single time it catches me off guard. Every single time I laugh out loud.
Sorry, I know that doesn't get us anywhere. (I keep thinking of the line in "Meet the Parents:" BS: Oh, you can milk anything with nipples. RD: I have nipples. Can you milk me?) Plognark is correct - God is a spirit and has no form. He has no feet, hands, face or nipples, even though all are referred to in the Bible. [well, not ALL!, I'll let you guess which one is Not ![]() Jesus was a man and would have nipples. (Although many would argue that Jesus never existed, and thus Jesus' nipples would never have existed either.) However, God, while in spirit form, obviously can imagine nipples, since he gave them to so many creatures, not just man. (I am laughing again. Imagining on the day he created Adam, stating, "Hmmm.. I seem to have two extra nipples. What to do, What to do?) After much wrestling, I have come to the belief that A&E did not have belly buttons. No umbilical cord--hence no belly button. The better question is what does it mean "created in God's image." Can't be physical (see above. No Nipples for you.) Could be either mental (reasoning) or spiritual (soul) or a combination of both. This goes back many, many years, but I think it depende on whether you were a Bi-partist (humankind is made up of body/soul) or Tri-partist (Body/soul/spirit). From what I remember, I was a combination bi-partist/tri-partist, but for the life of me, I cannot remember why. [off-topic] Magus, brother, I too am a theist. I cannot comprehend how much abuse you have received from these miscreants in your time here. However, lighten up. 1- God does not need us to defend him. 2- These guys do not need salvation. They know the Bible very, very well. We would state they are without excuse. [on-topic] Please return to your regular show. |
