Greetings all! I have a question about the other gospels out there, such as the Gospel of Thomas (I believe they are called 'apocrypha'). Where can I get a hold of them? Are they in book form somewhere, or are they on the 'Net?

Any help you could give would be great. Related to this: are there even more problems/inconsistencies within these lost gospels, especially when added to the "accepted" gospels?

The Gospel Of Thomas is part of a cache of books known as The Nag Hammadi Library found hidden in Egypt in 1945. These are considered Gnostic texts.
You can find it in “The Nag Hammadi Library�? edited by James M. Robinson and in “The Other Bible“ edited by Willis Barnstone.

The book form I like and have relied upon heavily is The Complete Gospels.

Thomas is NOT a gnostic txt. It was used by the Gnostics which shows where it went, not where it came from.

If you want ocmmentary on Thomas go with Valantasis or Davies and for questions of dependent on NT works go with Patterson's the Gospel of Thomas and Jesus.

I think GThomas was compiled (and most of its material written) when an ebionistic Christian sect was turning Gnostic. As I explained on that page:
