The resurrection either is a historical fact or is not a historical fact. If it is not, then insulting people who call it something else won't make it a fact.

That's an invention by the Merovingian to establish their power in France. They wanted to claim direct lineage to Jesus.
Never heard of that before... today.

You see, that's the problem. Something gets old and forgotten and all of a sudden it's a myth. This is just the ignorant way of forgetting the past, calling things Myths. One day, people are going to forget that George W. Bush was ever president and those that bring him up will be called myth makers.
There is no reliable corroborating physical evidence accepted by archeologists for the Exodus, which there should be plenty if the biblical accounts are accurate. Thats not "forgetting", thats reality. If you have knowledge of physical evidence please share it.

JABcomix, you appear to have a very specific agenda in this forum, which is to posit that the Urantia book and philosophy/religion associated with it are accurate and provide the "real" answers to many of the questions discussed here. I am interested in this topic as others may be. I am new here so maybe others have heard it before, but I have not. Maybe you could start a dedicated thread or two based on the Urantia book as you have brought this book up in other threads and it could lead to derailments of those discussions. It may be easier for you to keep up with the numerous replies you will/may probably get on a bunch of different threads when bringing up the subject. Just a thought...

How many Galileans went to Babylon? And where in the NT DID Jesus lecture on metaphysics?

I thought Jesus of the NT was crucified. He was crucified by a wasp?

WT.....
To avoid possible misunderstanding, I agree that this passage from the Talmud has nothing to do with Jesus.

You never heard of the Merovingian?

Quote:
The Merovingians are extensively featured in the book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, in which they are claimed to be the descendants of Jesus, based on a hoax originating with Pierre Plantard in the mid-twentieth century. The 2006 film, The Da Vinci Code, based on a book by Dan Brown, is a fictional treatment of themes from Holy Blood.[citation needed] In it the main character, Sophie, discovers that she is a descendant of the Merovingian blood line as well as Jesus Christ.
They treat all of this as pseudo-history. None of this stuff actually happened. Jesus did die on the cross.

Actually, the Urantia Book does talk about the brothers and sisters that Jesus had. However, the claim here was that Jesus didn't die on the cross but married Mary Magdalen and had children. Which is a made up story about him. I Mentioned the Merovingian because some tried to create this bloodline back to Jesus himself.

Urantia is not an accepted source. It is also a made up story. It is not within the purview of this forum.

Well according to Atheist, all scriptures are not accepted sources. So what does it matter where I got it from if you're just going to dismiss it just like you dismiss all religious claims?
