The Jerusalem Talmud has been translated into English, by Neusner et al. The translation is controversial but it does exist.

But the original gospel -- Mark -- doesn't describe Jesus' father. It say that Jesus himself was the 'tekton'. This was a point that pagans made fun of Jesus for, because how could a lowly handiman be god? Thus the text was changed slightly to read "the son of the carpenter" instead of "the carpenter". It looks like his entire point fails.
